Challenges
The Australian Hotel Association funded the development of five (5) Energy Management Plans for 5-Star Hotels on the Gold Coast, in Perth and Adelaide. Their combined annual electricity and gas costs of the properties were US$5M.
Goals & Objectives
The primary objective was to develop an Energy and Carbon Reduction Plan for each of the of five (5) 5-Star Hotels in the Gold Coast, Perth and Adelaide with a target electricity and gas reduction goal of 25%. The Energy Management Plan will develop an Energy Model of the “As Is” and “To Be” condition and address Quick Win (Capital <$50,000), Short Term (less than 2 year paybacks) and Longer Term (2 year longer paybacks) energy saving interventions.
