Project
Challenges
Electricity is expensive when generated from a diesel power system, the challenge was to design an energy efficient Air Conditioning and Hot Water for a 380 person capacity workcamp, whilst saving maximum energy, at first the workcamp had an electrical demand of 3,800kW, this was redesigned to 1,400kW.
Goals & Objectives
The primary objective was to develop to reduce the workcamp energy costs by 50%, that is cost effective to implement and provide comfortable and quality accommodation for the 380 workers, that is energy efficient and reduces diesel fuel consumption.
