Challenges
Electricity is expensive when generated from a diesel generator system, the challenge was to design a Smart Air Conditioning Controller for 3,800 unit split system air conditioners in a remote workcamp to provide comfortable environmental conditions for staff whilst saving maximum energy.
Goals & Objectives
The primary objective was to develop a cost effective and reliable Smart Air Conditioning Controller for the workcamp’s 3,800 air conditioning units that allows an adaptive control to use of the air conditioning units to match changing shift times and the high temperatures experienced at Onslow.
