Challenges

  • Design, construct and operate a1.2MW standalone gas-fired power station to supply electricity to a 400 unit hotel resort on South Stradbroke Island, Gold Coast fueled by LPG, including three commercial kitchens, conference facilities, water supply and treatment systems and a water park.

Goals & Objectives

  • Couran Cove Resort’s island location meant that electricity could not be supplied from the Queensland electricity grid thus it needed its own power station, own water treatment and sewerage treatment plants, including a site energy management system to provide the site with a single dashboard to management all services.
